On April 1, Carver High School proudly participated in the Sister Cities Youth Exchange event, a celebration of global friendship, cultural exchange, and student achievement. The event, hosted in partnership with the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia, highlighted the incredible students from across the city—including our very own—who have built meaningful connections with peers from Philadelphia’s Sister Cities around the world.
Carver students were recognized for their participation in this dynamic international exchange, and their reflections stood out as powerful testaments to the value of cultural dialogue and youth leadership. Guests in attendance were treated to thoughtful speeches from student ambassadors as well as inspiring remarks from Councilmember Isaiah Thomas, City Representative Jazelle Jones, and Lauren Swartz, President and CEO of the World Affairs Council.
The ceremony was described by attendees as a moving and memorable occasion, honoring the young ambassadors who are helping to strengthen Philadelphia’s ties with the global community.

Carver High School is grateful to be part of a program that not only celebrates international connectivity but also empowers our students to be leaders in an increasingly interconnected world. We look forward to future collaborations that continue building bridges across borders.
