Mission & Approach to Learning

George Washington Carver High School of Engineering and Science is an innovative, inclusive, and college preparatory criteria-based school for grades 7-12 serving academically talented and motivated students interested in the sciences, mathematics, engineering, technology, medical, and other STEM-related career fields. We are committed to providing a rigorous curriculum with a focus in these areas, enriched by extra-curricular opportunities that are student centered. Our goals are to prepare our students with the academic, and organizational skills for collegiate success and to empower our students with the social and leadership skills to be lifelong learners and productive citizens.

  • The latest Class of 2023 earned $15.9 million in college scholarships (22 Academic Full Rides)
