Congratulations to Junior Denzel Figeroua on his selection to the third-team 5A All-State Boys’ Basketball team.

Denzel has been working extremely hard the past 12 months trying to reach his goal of playing at the collegiate level.  Either Division 1 or Division 2.  His wish is to be able to play basketball while attending college and take the financial burden off of his parents.  He is in a unique situation; his height, his basketball swag, his academic standing and the school he attends.  He checks off every box for college coaches.  From playing AAU basketball in 2020 and 2019 in addition to varsity basketball, he has caught the attention of many coaches and recruiters.  Denzel is on so many scouts’ radar.  He met with the varsity coaching staff a few weeks ago to map out a plan to help him become a five-star student-athlete during the off-season.  The coaching staff has created an individual workout plan to help him prepare his body and enhance his tactical skills.
