On October 4, 7th graders visited the Wagner Free Institute of Science for a lesson on the history of this collection. Did you know North Philadelphia was a suburb at the time William Wagner lived here, on the corner of what is today 17th and Montgomery? Or that the Wagner was the first branch of the Free Library of Philadelphia? 7th graders worked on a scavenger hunt in the collection to uncover other historical connections. Check it out!
