Sydnei Scipio captures All-Public honors with a third place finish in girls’ long jump, jumping a PR of 17’0.25″

Shikeah Williams betters her school record toss in the Jav finishing in 6th place overall.

Shynice Hses advances to tomorrows 100m final.

On the Boys’ side, @meless grabs a 6th place finish in the 3200m with a PR of 10:47

Steven Bull captures a 6th place finish in the long jump!

Boys’ 4×8 almost pulls off a monumental upset, gaining ALL- PUBLIC honors with a second place finish! the team of Andrew Moreland Goal Run(thomas), Kendrick Key and Steven Bull also met the District XII Qualifying standard in this race!

In the boys’ 1600m “The Ethiopian Warrior” @meless, Co- High Point scorer (Steven Bull), finished in 7th place overall after winning the non-seeded section.  Gelaye and Key Rounded out the top 15 off of a gruesome triple (4×8, 1600, 800 all within an hour)

In the 800m the other “Ethiopian Warrior” (Gelaye) was determined to get on the individual score board, finishing in 8th place in a foot race with teammate (Moreland) that had to go to the thousandths to determine the winner.  Moreland and Key finished 9th and 10th respectively

Coming off of I.R., Senior Captain and Lincoln University committ, Frank Holmes secures an 8th place finish in the Boys 400m, while securing a spot in the District XII championships

On the Womens’ side, The Quartet of Sydnei Scipio (high point scorer), Shynice Hses Devin Downing and Sierra Friday finished in 5th place of the girls’ 4×1 narrowly missing out on the medal stand.

In the 100m Final, Shynice Hses, running with the flu, managed to earn an 8th place finish in a gutsy run.

Freshman Aniya Brooks ran a PR in the 800 to capture a 6th place finish. sophomore Leilani Johnson grabbed the 8th spot to earn another point for the ladies

this was a relay day for the ladies however as the Quartet of Johnson, Ellen Lehman, Brooks and Gabrielle Brown earned a 7th place finish in the 4×8 with a seasons’ best performance.

not to be out done, in the last race of the day, Amoya “moy moy” Donaldson, Iyana Campbell, Johnson and Brooks snatched the final point of the day with an 8th place finish in the 4×400

Over all, the Boys earned a 9th place finish in the team standings while the Girls earned a top 15 finish at 12th overall

The team returns to the track Next week for the District XII/ State Qualifier, weds/thurs 5-16/17
