Carver’s two FTC robotics teams, the Gear Girls and the Tech Heroes, competed at Philadelphia Qualifiers on Saturday. After qualifying matches against 22 other teams the Gear Girls were ranked 7th place and went on to play in the finals as the 5th-place alliance!
The Gear Girls were also awarded the Connect Award for impressing the judges with “the wide array of their connections to the engineering community… [and] focus on inclusivity in STEM.” The Tech Heroes were awarded the Think Award for their engineering portfolio, which “impressed the judges with its balance of both engineering and team focused content.”
