The E&S Track and Field Team competed at the PPL Championships May 7-9. Congratulations to the following athletes for winning individual event championships:

– Jalynn Cage: Long Jump Champion and Javelin Champion. Jalynn’s Javelin throw also broke her own school record!
– Payton Drumwright: 100H Champion, 300H Champion, and 200m Champion. Payton also broke school records in both the 100H and 300H!
– Jason Noel: Shot Put Champion

Over the course of competition, Payton was voted PPL Track MVP and Jalynn was voted PPL Field co-MVP.

In addition, the girls team finished 2nd overall and the boys team finished 6th overall in the entire Philadelphia Public League, aided by many major breakthrough performances! Congratulations to all athletes for a great job!
