Our 7th-grade class stepped out of the classroom and into the fascinating world of medical history this week with a trip to the Mütter Museum of the College of Physicians of Philadelphia.

Known for its unique collection of anatomical specimens and vintage medical instruments, the museum provided our students with a firsthand look at the resilience of the human body and the evolution of modern medicine.

While the museum is full of wonders, the primary focus of the tour was the history of public health in our own backyard. Students learned about the various epidemics that have shaped Philadelphia, with a deep dive into the 1918 Spanish Influenza pandemic.
