January 24th was Dumpling Day in Ms. Zeng’s Chinese class, where students got hands-on experience making traditional Chinese New Year foods specifically, dumplings! In Chinese culture, dumplings symbolize wealth, prosperity, and family. Eating them during the New Year is considered a way to welcome good fortune and a prosperous year ahead. Under the guidance of Ms. Zeng and Ms. Feng, students learned to make pork and chicken dumplings from scratch and enjoyed tasting their creations.
