Students from Carver Honors Music performed at the Kimmel Center on Thursday, March 30th, joined by students from the Curtis Institute of Music to share some classical pieces and artwork related to sustainability. The songs included one specially written for the group, Carver Climate Upcycle by Ira Mowitz, and featured ‘upcycled’ musical instruments created by Carver’s Environmental Studies class. The event aimed to bring awareness about climate change and the Sunrise Movement’s Green New Deal for Schools.
