E&S Cross Country States Recap [Photos]

On Saturday the E&S Boys Cross-Country team competed at the State Championships in Hershey, PA. They finished 19th in a tough race against the best teams in the state. Congratulations to Meless Badume, Thomas Gelaye, Andrew Drumwright, Andrew Moreland, Aaron Drumwright, Jaron Tinsley, and Isaiah Daye.

Chess Team

Carver Hosts Citywide ASAP Scolastic Chess Tournament and Finishes First

Chess players from all over the region converged on Carver Engineering and Science to play chess on Saturday, November 3rd.  The Carver Chess Team won first place overall.  Josiah Findley, Heng Xin-Wang and Nia Williams all won their sections.  There will be another chess tournament at Carver on Saturday, December 2nd.

Outward Bound

E&S Students Attend Five Day Canoe Expedition

Eleven high school students completed a five-day canoeing expedition with the Philadelphia Outward Bound School. They canoed over thirty miles, set up camp at five sites, and learned how to survive and thrive in the wilderness. They formed a close crew and had a great time!

E&S Cross Country Headed to States!

On Thursday, October 25th, the E&S Cross-Country Team competed at the PIAA District 12 Championships at Philadelphia’s Belmont Plateau Cross-Country Course.
