On Saturday February 16th, Jeremy Schmeltzer, Shamiyah Boozer and Lucas Graham competed in a Moot Court Competition at the Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law. The competition involved Philadelphia High School students. Lucas Graham qualified for the National Competition in Washington, D.C. on April 5th.

Many of Carver’s Computer Science enthusiasts attended the first ever CS4 Philly celebrating Computer Science in Philadelphia at the Kimmel Center on 12/3/18. Chess players from all over the region converged on Carver Engineering and Science to play chess on Saturday, November 3rd. The Carver Chess Team won first place overall. Josiah Findley, Heng Xin-Wang and Nia Williams all won their sections. There will be another chess tournament at Carver on Saturday, December 2nd.
Eleven high school students completed a five-day canoeing expedition with the Philadelphia Outward Bound School. They canoed over thirty miles, set up camp at five sites, and learned how to survive and thrive in the wilderness. They formed a close crew and had a great time!
