Outward Bound Returns from Five Day Expedition
Six students from Carver participated in this season’s first expedition of Philadelphia Outward Bound. They backpacked more than fifteen miles over five days, starting at Dunfield Creek and ending near Crater Lake along the New Jersey portion of the Appalachian Trail. State Fair Regionals: Carver Programming Team Headed to States, Logo and Digital Arts Win Silver [PHOTOS]
E&S sent three teams to the Regional Tech Fair. The Programming Team took first place and earned the a spot in the State Fair. Logo Design and and Digital Art each took second place in their divisions.

Fourteen students from Engineering and Science competed at the Carver Science Fair (Philadelphia regional competition). On Friday 3/1, 28 teams from six different high schools participated in the Annual Citywide Calculus Competition. Bodine, CAPA, Friends Select, Northeast, Palumbo, and hosts Carver E&S all competed. Lucas Graham Qualifies for Moot Court Nationals
On Saturday February 16th, Jeremy Schmeltzer, Shamiyah Boozer and Lucas Graham competed in a Moot Court Competition at the Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law. The competition involved Philadelphia High School students. Lucas Graham qualified for the National Competition in Washington, D.C. on April 5th.
Carver Poetry Students Competing at the Central Library

Chess Team Trophies at 2-Day Checkmate Violence Marathon
The Chess team won 2nd place in the Open and 3rd place in the Under 800. Chinhei Wu finished Second overall.
