Chess Team Wins Under 1000 Section at States. Madison takes top Female.

The E&S Chess Team won the Under 1000 State Championship.  The team narrowly beat out Central High School (Phila), Abington (Montco) and Warwick High School (Lititz) to capture the title.  Senior Jalen Wright led the way with four points.  Madison Ford-McKnight won top female in the U1300 Section.          

Carver Students Win Congressional App Challenge [LINK and VIDEO]

Rep. Dwight Evans has named two Philadelphia students as the winner of the Congressional App Challenge in Pennsylvania’s 3rd district. G.W Carver HSES’s Tom Xavior and Jonathan Mathews submitted Beta Tutors, an app designed to help the school environment flourish, in the areas that we students saw were not being addressed.
