Carver’s Poetry Slam Team Reaches Finals [FLYER ATTACHED]

Ms. Townsend and Volunteer Poet/Carver Alum c/o ’09, Marquis Wright-Lee are pleased to announce that Carver’s first Poetry Slam Team are advancing to the Philly Slam League’s Championship Finals on Friday, May 24th at the Kimmel Center. The competition will be from 6:30p-8:30p and is open and free to the public.

Outward Bound Returns from Five Day Expedition

Six students from Carver participated in this season’s first expedition of Philadelphia Outward Bound. They backpacked more than fifteen miles over five days, starting at Dunfield Creek and ending near Crater Lake along the New Jersey portion of the Appalachian Trail.
